Part 10: Troubleshooting
Clarence says
Did the factory reset with no luck. Was trying to prevent the long service call to ATT for them to eventually replace. Like pulling teeth talking to them. I am currently on vacation and will return home on the fifteenth. I have spent more time than I care and will have to spend a day with them. This is my second Note 3.
Simon says
You may reboot the phone into recovery mode (pressing and holding Home+ volume up+ power buttons. Then choose to wipe the data and wipe the cache. This will clean the phone.

Tried it, believe there is a hidden bug or phone is corrupt. ERROR 24 STILL.
Simon says
You probably have to backup your data and perform a factor reset.

Thanks, but still receiving error 24 after running clean master.
Simon says
When you run cleanmaster, you need choose to clear the unnecessary files. Then reboot the phone.
If it does not work, you can try to clear cache and clear data for Play store. The error is probably related to some leftover files.

Clarence says
My original problem was the Facebook app crashing and deinstalling. I have tried to reinstall but the app downloads and then gives an error code while installing. I use this app more than any I have. I have been trying for three weeks to reinstall from the play store. Took it to Samsung rep at Best Buy who backed up and tried to reinstall. Nothing but the same error 24.
Simon says
After uninstalling Facebook app, try to install Clean Master (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cleanmaster.mguard&hl=en) to clean some junk files. Then try to install the app again.

Clarence says
After deleting PW on chrome will I be able to download FB app without “error 24” ?
Simon says
I think you can always log in manually. The saved password only saves you typing. I don’t think it can do more.
Anyway, why didn’t you just use the app?

Clarence says
How do you find Facebook file and folders to delete after app has been deleted. I get error 24 when trying to install.
Simon says
it is not necessary to manually delete files. Once the app is uninstalled or the account is deleted, the personal info linked to the account will be deleted automatically.
Of course, for download files, it depends how you downloaded them.

Clarence says
The app was uninstalled but I can access my account thru chrome. Do I need to delete the account thru chrome? Will I lose everything?
Simon says
You can always access facebook through any web browser, just like that on a pc. It is not linked to the device.
If you saved password in Chrome, you can manage them on a PC and remove it so that you have to log in manually.

Joshua says
Yes, I found that to work before but this time no luck.
Simon says
You may just reboot the phone to see whether it helps.

How do I get my screen mirroring option on my note 3 to my Sony blue ray player to stop lagging. Sometimes it works great but lately it’s been lagging
Simon says
Did you try to put the Note 3 close to the player/TV?

JVB says
Can’t find “MyFiles” in Application. Can only find MyFiles via S-find/search. How do I move/copy MyFiles (or the Note3 user’s manual, actually) to home or other screens?
Simon says
It is under Samsung folder in the app drawer. In Note 3, Most Samsung apps are put under Samsung folder, Third-party ones are put under Samsung Plus, and Google’s under Google folder.
Anyway, if you get one more system update after KitKat update, ES File Explorer File Manager (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop) can now write to SD freely. So essentially, you do not need the My Files any more.
