Only thirty shots? On iPhone it is unlimited. On the S5 (G901F) it was 1000. But THIRTY is FAR TOO LOW!!!!
But better than the twenty shot limit from Note 3 and S4 and earlier.
TechLord 777 says
Correction: since iOS 8, iPhone stops at 999 Shots.
Obvious: Every phone stops at overheating (continuing could damage the device), too weak battery (a high hardware usage at low battery could have influence on the current. Tthe phone might turn off without warning) , or full memory.
TechLord777 says
Another fact to mention_:
Sony Xperia also never had burstshot-limitations.

Is it possible to export burst shots as say a GIF? I often use this to capture little bits of action that I can “play” and see the animation on my phone. Typically I want to save these as a little playable GIF, and delete the individual pictures. But I haven’t been able to find an export or “save as…” option.
Simon says
No, you have to use other apps to do it. There are many GIF makers in Play store.

Where can I find instructions on how to manage the large group of photos taken by burst mode? I see icons on the photos, but don’t know what they are. I’ve tried deleting some of them and get a message saying I can’t delete them.

The S6 is also limited to thirty shots. That’s just a ridicolous SOFTWARE-Based Limit.
The S6 has a higher processing performance than the S5. And more RAM. And a faster flash memory. So it’s got enough resources to keep on shooting instead of stopping at thirty. That’s truly a superflous software limit!
Krystal Working says
Can I send them in text so friends can play them like I can?
Simon says
If you send them through MMS, they will be shown as individual photos.

Anyone know how to rearrange the pictures. Or flip the way it plays on burst mode?
Simon says
there are actually individual photos you can edit. But for the playing sequence, it should from the first to the last. There is no settings for it. You can only change the plying speed.

I am so upset too that I cannot switch off the burst mode of my Samsung Note 4 whereas previously I could with my older Samsung models. I often accidentally took pictures by burst mode just because I pressed a little too long. Samsung should have given us the option to switch the burst mode off. Truely a step backward for Samsung.
Simon says
Yes, Samsung removed the settings for enabling or disabling burst mode in Note 4.

My phone seems to always take photos in burst mode. It is unbelieveably irritating!
Simon says
Probably you pressed the shutter button too long. You just need tap it once to take photos. If you hold the button for about 3 seconds, it will assume you want to use burst mode.

It is very irritating to have this forced burst mode. I have this phone for a week and have deleted these duplicate pictures for 75% of my photos already.
Holding down the button used to mean to focus onto an object and now it’s focus AND burst shots ? But I just want to focus and use auto mode. Makes taking picture no longer as enjoyable.
If it’s so important to have burst shots at one’s fingertips, make it so by having a translucent button on the aide of the screen to do just that. I don’t even use burst shots more than a few times in the years I have my smart phones. This is such a bad idea.
May says
I thought to focus, all you have to do is touch the screen and it’ll auto focus, NO? Because that’s how I get mine to focus. You shouldn’t have to hold down the TAKE PICTURE button to focus. It will definitely just do burst shot. If anything, I think some users don’t really understand how to use the device properly. Once you get to know it, it’s incredible. 🙂
Simon says
Touch is to change focus. Yes, it can be used to force the focus if the auto focus doesn’t work well.
