Quite some people complained about this Kies software for long time. It seems Samsung did not improve much in this aspect.
You may try a different computer.
You can also try to download the usb driver for your handset directly from local Samsung’s website: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/downloads ( for us models). You need select the correct models.
Galaxy NoteMemberUninstall Kies on your PC, reboot, download the latest version of kies, re-install Kies.
Galaxy NoteMemberYes, it is possible. In Note 2, you may follow these steps:
1. launch your “phone” app
2. tap the menu button (left button)
3. call settings–additional settings–caller ID
Please note this function also depends on your carrier. Some carriers (especially in Asia) may ask for additional fees for the freedom (sending or not sending caller ID).

Galaxy NoteMemberHe can turn off wifi when not in use.
If 4G signal is too weak, he can also switch to 3G (settings–other settings–Mobile networks–Network mode, chnage to GSM/WCDMA). Also, when he does not need mobile data, turning off mobile data will save a lot of power.
Anyway, turn on wifi or mobile data only when you need it.
February 7, 2013 at 1:38 pm in reply to: Make phone calls, select between skype or normal call.. #758Galaxy NoteMemberGo to applications manager, find Skype, then tap Clear data. You need provide username and password for Skype when you try to use it next time.
Galaxy NoteMemberVery likely, it is caused by your carrier.
Galaxy NoteMemberThanks for the update.
Galaxy NoteMemberIt is usually caused by some background apps. You may try to restart (reboot) your tablet.
BTW, you can also try to update your tablet.
Galaxy NoteMemberIf the phone has problems, I think you can ask for a replacement (depending on local regulations, of course).
Normally, you can reboot the phone before going to bed, then read it in the next morning (after a few hours). You can also dump all readings into a text file in your SD, by tap menus button (left), go to more–Dump to File.
Galaxy NoteMemberI don’t have a solution solution either.
But you can convert PDF to image (e.g., JPG) on your PC using Acrobat (probably the Reader can also do the job, not sure). Of course, there are many online free services for this. Just Google “pdf to image online free”, and you can some of them.
Galaxy NoteMemberHi Puneech, it is hard to narrow down with doing tests.
But for JuiceDenfender, it is probably not necessary at all. If you want to have longer battery life, just remeber to9 disable wifi and mobile data when you are not going to use them for next a few hours.
Antivirus is not essential for Android. Just try to install apps from trusted sources (e.g., Play store).
You can try to turn on Chrome as it provide better browsing experience than the stock one.
Galaxy NoteMemberHi Anand, you may download the BBS app as mentioned in this post: https://www.allaboutgalaxynote.com/how-to-solve-battery-issues-after-ics-update-in-your-galaxy-note/
