Galaxy NoteMember
It is very likely the retail mode app. You can stop or disable it (settings–applications–all)
Galaxy NoteMemberWhich video?
Galaxy NoteMemberMaybe it is caused by some other apps? Did you install some navigation app like Car Home?
If there are no suspicious apps, you may try to enable driving mode, wait a few mins, then disable it, wait a few mins, then reboot your phone.
Galaxy NoteMemberAfter copy, you should press the paste button on top right (NOT the clipboard option). This will create a duplicated copy of the object, not just a image. You can move then the second copy to anywhere and use it as the original one.
Galaxy NoteMemberIn Galaxy Note, the mounted microSD will be under external_sd folder (to be precise, /sdcard/external-sd is the mount point). You can use the stock MyFile app, or ES File Explorer to navigate the files and folders
If you want to download files automatically to the sd card, you can open the internet app (stock browser) , then tap the menu button, scroll down to select Settings–Advanced–Default storage, choose Storage card.
Galaxy NoteMemberOn Note 2, you can copy it.
But on Note 1 (Galaxy Note N7000), it seems you do not have the copy option. Maybe, after the JB update, you will be able to copy.
Galaxy NoteMemberHi Puneeth, I received your BBS log. Apparently, your phone failed to enter deep sleep state because of the following kernel wakelocks:
1. "suspend_backoff" (): 6 h 31 m (23460 s) Cnt:(c/wc/ec)2349/0/2349 51.0% 2. "alarm" (): 4 h 55 m 24 s (17724 s) Cnt:(c/wc/ec)332931/0/0 38.6% 3. "l2_hsic" (): 3 h 28 s (10828 s) Cnt:(c/wc/ec)21943/0/21942 23.6% 4. "sec-battery-monitor" (): 2 h 9 m 17 s (7757 s) Cnt:(c/wc/ec)21654/0/0 16.9% 5. "deleted_wake_locks" (): 52 m 57 s (3177 s) Cnt:(c/wc/ec)15409/0/178 6.9%
Based on the processes, you may try:
1. stop JuiceDefender
2. stop Chrome
3. stop the antivirus;
(you can stop an app by Settings–Applications–downloaded, find the app, then choose Force Stop).
Please let us know whether it works.
Galaxy NoteMemberFor calendar, you can always syn it with Google.
For backup contacts, sms, calendar…, you may try Superbackup ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.idea.backup.smscontacts )
Galaxy NoteMemberI didn’t receive your message.
anyway, please send the files to: feedback AT allaboutgalaxynote.com
Galaxy NoteMemberProbably, you can try to get a new battery.
Galaxy NoteMemberFor BBS, you cna dump all info into a file: tap the menu (left) button, go to More, then choose Dump to File. The info will then be in a text file in /sdcard (the top folder you can access if your phone is not rooted).
You can send us info with attachment through this page: https://www.allaboutgalaxynote.com/feedback/
Galaxy NoteMemberIt could be just a faulty screen.
I am not sure whether you cna ask local Samsung service center do a check/test (pay small fees), then decide how to proceed.
Galaxy NoteMemberIt seems your phone cannot enter deep sleep state. When your phone is not in use, it is supposed to enter deep sleep mode. This is probably the major reason of the battery drain.
You may try to shutdown the phone, remove the battery,, wait a min, then put the battery back and power on the phone. Now wait a few hours, and check:
1). the reading of CPU Spy
2). reading of “Others” in BBS
3). reading of “Partial Wakelocks”
4). reading of “Kernel Wakelocks”
If you cannot find the problem, you may post the reading in this thread. We can try to help you figure it out.
Galaxy NoteMemberYou may try CPUSpy and BBS as explained in this post. I had thought you haven’t found any issues in deep sleep.
Sometimes, if the issue was caused by system, you can try to reboot your phone.
Galaxy NoteMemberYes, the battery has a life span of a few years for moderate use. Usually, the battery will lose considerable capacity after 500-600 cycles. There is another thread on this battery issue: https://www.allaboutgalaxynote.com/topic/note-battery-issue/
In most regions, the warranty for battery is only 6 months (while the note normally has one year warranty).
So, you may try to get a new battery if you used it heavily before.
