How do I save files to the mounted sd card in my tablet?

In Galaxy Note, the mounted  microSD will be  under external_sd folder (to be precise, /sdcard/external-sd is the mount point).  You can use the stock MyFile app, or ES File Explorer to navigate the files and folders

If you want to download files automatically to the sd card, you can open the internet app (stock browser) , then tap the menu button, scroll down to select Settings–Advanced–Default storage, choose Storage card.
