Anyway, the waiting is almost over. Now, let’s list the top 10 anticipated features in this Jelly Bean 4.,1 update for our more-than-one-year-old Galaxy Note. For Top 10 new features in ICS update, please read this post: https://www.allaboutgalaxynote.com/top-10-new-features-in-galaxy-note-after-ics-update/Â
All these features are available on Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Note 10.1 and Galaxy Note 8.0 already.
Thanks to Project Butter, one major improvement in Jelly Bean is the performance: faster, smoother and more responsive. Of course, I guess Samsung’s TouchViz UI may degrade the performance a bit. Some carriers’ bloatware may also have negative impact on the performance.
But overall, we should notice significant performance improvement.
It is a shame that Google Now has not got sufficient attention. Google Now is a true innovation on getting relevant information on a mobile device. It makes you the master, not the salve, of the information. Just as claimed by Google, Google Now gets you just the right information at just the right time. If you do not have any Jelly Bean devices now, you may get more info on the Google Now offical site
Yes, you can run two apps side by side. Although very limited apps are compatible with multi window at this time, it is a really nice feature for a 5.3″ screen. Of course, this feature is best for Galaxy Note’s bigger brother Note 10.1.
In Jelly Bean, a new embedded speech recognizer lets you use Voice Typing even when you don’t have an Internet connection.
The notification system will have significant improvements: more info and more controls. Notifications from the some app will be grouped and you can take actions directly in notification page. You may also identify the apps generating the notification and disable the annoying notifications from such apps.
Hopefully, Samsung will not chop off too much.
Screen will be bright as long as you are looking at it! Although it will not save much battery juice because of the involvement of the front camera, it makes your Note more personal.
This trick was first introduced in Galaxy S3. Your phone looks smarter than others: it knows when you want to talk, who you want to talk When you look at it, smart stay comes!!
Add notes on the back of your photo!!
Hovering your S Pen over photo gallery, messages, planner…will give you the preview of the items without opening them!!!
Due to differences in S Pen, this feature may be not available for Galaxy Note.
There are a lot of improvements in S Note app in Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Note 10.1. Most of such improvements will very likely be brought to Galaxy Note’s Jelly Bean update.
What are the features you are expecting for this coming Jelly Bean update for your Note?

After upgrading to 4.1.2 i see that the battery drains from 100% to 35% in 6 hours.. is there a solution for this
Install BBS, and find out the root of the problem, as posted in: https://www.allaboutgalaxynote.com/how-to-solve-battery-issues-after-ics-update-in-your-galaxy-note/
It is also a good idea to remove battery once after updating.
removing the battery for a minute did the trick.. But what is the significance of removing the batter after update...
to clean any ghost processes and to do a clean reboot.
I'm from Indonesia, and I just upgraded my N7000 to 4.1.2 Hong Kong official as I was tired using the 4.0.4 firmware. It always heated up and shut down by itself.
After hard waiting I finally decided to upgrade my note to android 4.1.2 Hong Kong. I thought it could solved the problem, but the heated up and shut down problem didn't go away. so what's the problem????
I read about the bad firmware of 4.0.4, but is it the 4.1.2 is still having these problem???
Did you try a new battery? The major battery issue was solved in 4.0.4 update.
may i get the exact date for JB update for n7000 here in india

My Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has just received the Jelly Bean OS update, i'm still downloading it.
thanks for the update. Enjoy.
There's alot of problems in updating via Kies, Even after so many updates while upgrading any phone's firmware it disconnects and says its an unknown error.
By the time the update is out would Samsung have solved the problem? Otherwise NO one would ever be able to upgrade to Jelly Bean.
Kies is quite buggy. If you notice the version changes, Samsung actually tries to improve it.
Anyway, some users still get unknown or unsupported errors. Most of the time, the support guys in Samsung service center have no clues on such errors.
hay, is the update come or not
The latest update is not good. Samsung will not able to roll out Jelly Bean update for Galaxy note in this month, due to the recently discovered security flaw in all Samsung’s Exynos 4 chip based Android devices including Galaxy S2, S3, Note, Note 2, and Note 10.1.
Samsung has acknowledged the flaw and is working on a fix, very likely together with the Jelly Bean 4.1 update for Galaxy Note users.
The JB 4.1 update for Galaxy Note will be available in Jan/Feb of 2013.
Ok thanks
Howccome a rooted galaxy note gt n - 7000 have air view
Unlikely, because the airview need Jelly Bean and an updated TouchViz.
hope they will make jelly bean launcher better and more useful like all commercial launchers.
