  • Your SIM card is very likely too old (>5 years?). You should ask your carrier to replace your old SIM card.

    USIM was introduced for 3G services. In old 2G times, we used the SIM card refers to both the card and "SIM" application on the card. In 3G, USIM application was added so that the phone can use 3G services (e.g., video calls). All new SIM card should have both applications.

    The card actually should be called UICC card to be precise.

  it has a 4.0 android version ics can i upgrade it into kitkat or lollipop or marshmallow versions? And if i upgrade it can i still use the s pen or stylus of note 1?

  • There are no official Lollipop or Marshmallow build for Galaxy Note (1). The third-party ROM (e.g., CynogenMod) will not have S Pen features.

    Anyway, my recommendation is to use the official ROM if you use the S Pen.

    • What is the official rom for note 1 that can use s pen? And can it be upgrade into jelly bean or kitkat?

      • Galaxy note (N7000) in most regions stopped at Jelly Bean 4.1. So, any ROMs with newer Android versions probably lose some SD pen features.

        It is better to check whether there are any official update from the phone, or using Kies on PC.

• am using galaxy note GT-19220 and i cant access mi led light and also sometimes my keyboard appear in chinse

  • For LED notification light, it's under Settings- display.

    For keyword, you can set the language in Settings - Language and input. You can also check the keyboard settings there.

    Anyway, you can always install other keyboard if you don't like the default Samsung keyboard. You can try Google keyboard.

• My Note 1 does not have the home button. It has 4 symbols that are hard to see on the front instead. Also, that phone does not seem to be represented by any of the manuals here. Thank you.

  • No, all Galaxy Note phones have a home button. Among all Galaxy Note tablets, only Galaxy Note 10.1(2012) doesnt have a home button.

    What's your phone model number? Is it a Samsung phone?

  • Probably there are some bad cells in the sd card. You may backup your phone, including the sd card. Then format the sd card from settings - storage.

  • It depends on your carrier. Some carriers support it, some don't.

• My Sumsung GT-N7000 is runing out of memory so when I am open is stucking on sumsung logo.

  • You can try to boot the phone into safe mode. You need press and hold the volume down button before AND during booting until you see the lock screen. In safe mode, you can manage your phone. Then reboot normally.

  • Any error messages? You may need contact your phone company and they will send you the correct settings.

  • In your camera app, you can set the storage location as SD card. All photos and videos (except burst shot) will then be saved in your SD card automatically.

  • Are you using any third-party keyboard?

    Sometimes, a reboot will solve the issue.

  • it should be limited by the number of characters (120). Normally, if your message exceeds this number, it will be sent as two or more messages. But this depends on the region. Did you try Hangouts?
