Get to know how use Hangouts and ChatON apps for chatting  in your Galaxy Note 3.

Hangouts

Use this application to chat with others. Tap Hangouts on the Applications screen.

• This application may not be available depending on the region or service provider.

Select a friend from the friends list or enter data to search and select a friend from the results to start chatting.

ChatON

Use this application to chat with any device. To use this application, you must sign in to your
Samsung account or verify your phone number. Tap ChatON on the Applications screen.

• This application may not be available depending on the region or service provider.

Create a buddies list by entering phone numbers or Samsung account email addresses, or by selecting buddies from the list of suggestions.

Alternatively, tap  → Contact sync to manually sync contacts from the device.

Tap  → Start chat and select a buddy to start chatting.

To start voice or video chat, tap  → ChatON Voice Chat or ChatON Video Chat.

• Video chatting with dual camera mode will be provided for up to 3 minutes. After 3 minutes the device will turn off the rear camera for optimal performance.
