i recently updated my Galaxy Note to ICS 4.0.4 from ICS 4.0 …….. but i cant see any changes in this new update ……..plz help …….
Build Number is IMM76D.DDLR6 ……… what is the difference between DDLR and XXLR ?
August 25, 2012 at 2:25 pm #351Galaxy NoteMemberIf it is from 4..0.3 to 4.0.4, this is a minor bug fix, with minor new features (pop up play, in some regions, and unlock by signature).
The build number is for developers to track the modifications (versions). The first part indicates it is in ICS 4.0.4 truck, the second part is region-specific.
September 9, 2012 at 9:14 am #391AnonymousInactiveHi all,
Even I am having same doubt what is the difference between DDLR6 and XXLRK. I am thinking to update XXLRK but i dont know whether it supports in INDIA or not. Even i have updated to ICS4.0.4 I didn’t see much differences. Actually i need the features like galaxy S3. Please help me what to update to get S3 features without loosing my warranty(By rooting). I found XXLRQ is the firmware where it gives the look of S3. Please advice me…

If you change the firmware, your warranty will be very likely voided.
September 9, 2012 at 2:37 pm #396AnonymousInactiveHi thanks for the update. ics 4.0.4 is same every where but the appearance of the phone is different for different ROM. if i install XXLRQ ics 4.0.4 it may change my phone look. samsung recently pushed out this version in Germany not in India. So can i use this firmwhere to update my phone? will it cause to any problem? and please help me
September 10, 2012 at 11:50 am #399Galaxy NoteMemberI am not aware of the difference. You can install other launchers if you want to further customize the look and feel of your Galaxy Note.
Using rom for other regions may cause damage (although very unlikely) to your phone. And it may void your warranty.

October 2, 2012 at 9:15 am #491AnonymousInactiveJust upgraded my galaxy note n7000 JPLPD 4.0.3 to JPLR8 4.0.4. Bought from UAE. Firmware upgrade done via kids in India. Here are some things I have noticed.
1. popup play for videos
2. Much Better keyboard layout.
3. Icons on menu items. Some menus have changed.
4. Don’t see any change in launcher. I use go launcher anyways.
5. It did not change settings for the launcher or any other app. Did not have to reinstall anything. All data is safe.
6. Don’t see any change in speed.
7. No problems with Bluetooth as stated in some YouTube reviews
8. Battery performance No big change. Hardly notice any change.October 2, 2012 at 12:23 pm #493AnonymousInactiveHi,

October 2, 2012 at 2:15 pm #494Galaxy NoteMemberif the apps are from Google play store, you can use automatic restore by backing up to Google servers. You can do this under settings–back up and reset. You need enable back up my data AND automatic restore. This only works for apps from Google play.
