Tagged: I sd card
I recently purchased a 64 GB card and want to know if there is anything special I need to do in order to swap it out for the 16 GB card that came with my Note 2.
Is it just a matter of copying the contents of the 16 GB card to the 64 GB card using my PC and plugging it in or are there other/special steps I should take?
Thanks in advance for your help.
First, if you moved any apps to SD card before, you need move it back to phone memory before change the card.
Most of other contents can be copied from the old card (put it on the PC’s card reader) after the new SD card is inserted.
Thank you very much for your assistance.
As it turns out, I didn’t have to swap the card because there wasn’t one in it to begin with. I simply installed the 64 GB card and was good to go. I thought the phone had a 16 GB card in it out of the box but it does not. The 16 GB is internal memory.
At first I was kind of disappointed but then I realized now my phone was a total 80 GB of storage space. Very cool.
thank you for the update. Yes, although eh official documentation says Note only support up to 32GB MicroSD card, it seems there are no issues so far using 64GB ones.
