Serious problem using Wifi in Galaxy Note with ICS 4.0.4

Hi,

I have updated my Galaxy Note to ICS 4.0.4 around 10 days back. I am from India and the update was done by the Samsung Service Center. The phone is working fine and I haven’t faced major issues in the update. Yesterday, when I tried to switch on the Wifi option, I found out a strange issue,

Whenever I tried to switch on the wifi, it gives the message as “Wifi turning on…” and then after 2 seconds it automatically switches it off giving the message as “Wifi turning off…”.

I am unable to understand the reason for this auto off of Wifi option in my handset. I am not using any third party software and I have installed Wifi finder application for better connectivity.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

As soon as I was turning on the Wifi option, it was switching it to Off state automatically in 2 seconds maximum.

Anyways, I visited the Samsung service center, and as usual, they said we have to update the software. The software was update from them, I lost all my applications and the phone was reset 🙁

But, on the other hand, I am happy that I can now use the Wifi functionality.
