Phone number format is changed

I updated my firmware and since then i get phone numbers written in US format.When i was updating firmware there was an option of selecting US English etc and i scrolled down but did not find my country(INDIA),or maybe i missed it or something.But at two places i was shown that and at both the places the same thing happened,so i selected US English thinking how does it matter as so many times earlier also i had selected US English lol.But the Phone numbers format has changed.
But strangely date format is unchanged in my phone.Then i reinstalled whatsapp and found that even their date format is according to US this time.Don’t why it is not according to my device?And i can’t change that also.It even created problem once as we are not used to it,reading the month before etc,and every thing here is opposite to what it is in US.

I tried changing it pc suite but did not help,though i will give one more shot,but if anybody knows anything about this please do share.Thanks!
