You do not say what headset you are trying to use. Some headsets to Phone Audio only; they will not receive media. You can see this by looking at the device in Bluetooth under Settings. If it says “Connected to phone and media audio” you should be able to listen to music, podcasts, etc. If it says “Connected to phone audio” your headset or other device is not capable of receiving media. If you are certain your device should be able to receive media, I am not sure what you can do but contact the device manufacturer. Many basic bluetooth headsets and car speakers will not receive media. If you want a headset/device that will receive media you really have to read the product descriptions carefully. The description will almost always mention listening to music or media because this is a desirable feature. Generally speaking if a device is stereo bluetooth it is PROBABLY safe to assume it will receive music/media. I have actually gotten in the habit of trying to download the user guide from the manufacturer’s spreadsheet when I want to make certain of a particular feature. Hope this helps.

Its a plantronics 2xx and doesn’t say ‘media’ when connected. I’ll get a new device and check its capable
Thanks again
