On the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is there a way to make the home button come out on the right side of the screen as the default setting when using the tablet in the portrait mode?

Note 10.1 2014 edition uses hardware buttons. The location is fixed. Maybe I did not get your question correctly.
