If your Note cannot find the your WiFi, you may try to change the Wi-Fi frequency band to auto (settings–wifi-advanced–WiFi frequency band).
September 16, 2012 at 9:37 pm #438AnonymousInactiveI can find settings-Wifi but not advanced the phone can see my speedtouch modem but says its remembered then says disabled last month we had a £300 bill so the phone was changed but I still cannot log in also on the first phone we could find data usage and lock the usage but on the new phone I cannot find this plesase excuse the fact that I am not a phone whizz and really struggling with this. Do I need a new router to log on?
September 17, 2012 at 1:11 pm #439Galaxy NoteMemberit could be caused by the modem. you may try other wifi (e.g., in McDonald’s ). You can also visit Samsung service center to test the wifi.
Usually, it would be easier to connect to a router than to an ADSL modem.
Occasionally, you may need set the static ip for your phone, for some ADSL modems/gateways.
September 26, 2012 at 3:33 pm #472AnonymousInactivei have a second hand phone of galaxy note gt n7000 but i could not see wf-fi setting again i could not connect it to PC Suite. is there any hope of using it because my system is asking for com(data_if) drivers
September 28, 2012 at 12:37 pm #478Galaxy NoteMemberMaybe, try a factory data reset.
If you cannot find factory reset as well, you can enter recovery mode (press down and hold volume up+Home button+power button; Hold volume up+Home button until you enter recovery mode), then reset your Note.
October 1, 2012 at 1:14 pm #488AnonymousInactiveWhen I had ATT Uverse which had to use their router, EVERY time I tried to connect a new wifi device to the network the device would connect to the wifi but never connect to internet. Every time I had to unplug the router power, wait a minute, then plug it back in. Your situation may be something completely different, but if you have not tried it, it is worth a shot. Also, and I know people are ALWAYS recommending this, see if there is a firmware update for your router. Sometimes new firmware really does work.
