Yes, it is possible. In Note 2, you may follow these steps:
1. launch your “phone” app
2. tap the menu button (left button)
3. call settings–additional settings–caller ID
Please note this function also depends on your carrier. Some carriers (especially in Asia) may ask for additional fees for the freedom (sending or not sending caller ID).
