If the phone has problems, I think you can ask for a replacement (depending on local regulations, of course).
Normally, you can reboot the phone before going to bed, then read it in the next morning (after a few hours). You can also dump all readings into a text file in your SD, by tap menus button (left), go to more–Dump to File.
